Autoblogger's five-site limit is now twenty. The reason it could move is more interesting than the number.
The limit was never about our servers
Autoblogger's scheduler reads each user's settings once and works out which sites are due; the actual research, writing and publishing all happen in PRSS on your machine, with your own model. More sites per user costs the scheduler nothing.
The part that did need fixing
Because the scheduler sends one message per due site, two sites falling due in the same pass used to collide — the second run replaced the first, and whichever finished first stopped the other mid-article.
Runs are queued now. A site that comes due while another is being written waits its turn, a site already queued is not queued twice, and one site failing no longer drops the sites behind it.
What this means for you
- Schedule up to twenty sites from one place.
- Put several on the same daily schedule without them interfering.
- Start any of them by hand when you want a post now.
